Вебінар “Перші Кроки Для Іммігрантів в Манітобі підчас COVID-19 Частина 2”

Доповідачами були особи, які приїхали в Канаду в умовах карантину (Covid-19); саме вони і ділилися особистим досвідом та проблемами які супроводжували їх під час перших тижнів у Канаді.

Новоприбулі українці обговорювали легальні і безпечні шляхи перевезення коштів з України в Канаду, а також їх досвід відкиття банківських рахунків та кредитних карток після ізоляції в Канаді. Основне пам’ятати про певні обмеження вивозу коштів з України та ввезення в Канаду.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress Manitoba Provincial Council (UCC-MPC) represents the Ukrainian community in Manitoba before the people and Government of the province, promotes linkages with Ukraine and identifies and addresses the needs of the Ukrainian community in Manitoba to ensure its continued existence and development for the enhancement of Canada’s socio-cultural fabric. It is comprised of almost 20 member organizations and is one of 6 component provincial members of the National Canadian Ukrainian Congress which represents the Ukrainian community before the Government of Canada.

Manitoba 150 Award

The attractive Manitoba 150 Award will be in the form of the Province of Manitoba with the recipient’s name etched on it. Awards will be presented at specially organized award ceremonies in Winnipeg and in several regions of the Province of Manitoba, will recognize 150 deserving individual recipients and 150 deserving organizations for their community leadership and volunteer contributions to the development and promotion of the Ukrainian Canadian community in Manitoba with a special commemorative award. Medical Equipment shipped to Ukraine

On October 5, Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Manitoba Provincial Council loaded a container of over 50 high-quality donated hospital beds and mattresses plus gurneys and physiotherapy beds destined for Ukraine. With our partners from International Hope Canada, this is the fourth container of medical equipment UCC-MPC has sent to Ukraine. The beds will be distributed to military hospitals in Kharkiv and Kyiv, as well as to a general hospital in Yaremche which provides long term care to veterans. The retail value of the load is over $75,000.

Medical Supplies sent to Ukraine

At the end of September, a container full of medical supplies sent by UCC-MPC to Kharkiv region in Eastern Ukraine arrived.
Below are some photographs of the equipment that was sent being unloaded in Ukraine, as well as thank you letters about the charitable assistance.

The Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Manitoba Provincial Counsel was pleased to once again host the annual Bulava Award. The Bulava Award is dedicated to the celebration and acknowledgement of Manitobans who have contributed their time, energy and expertise to enhance our Ukrainian Canadian community
in Manitoba ensuring it remains strong, vibrant and active for future generations.

The Award Luncheon took place on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at “Bergmanns on Lombard” in the Grain Exchange Building. A large gathering of Ukrainian Canadian community members came together to help celebrate the achievements of the eleven honorees.

ANNUAL HOLODOMOR COMMEMORATION TAKES PLACE AT WINNIPEG CITY HALL

The Holodomor took place in Ukraine in 1932-33 and was one of the most heinous crimes in the history of mankind. This tragedy was the result of a deliberate political strategy masterminded by Stalin and his totalitarian communist regime to destroy the Ukrainian peasantry and was part of a plan to destroy Ukrainian national resistance to the Soviet state. By sheer magnitude, losses during the Holodomor surpassed those of the Ukrainian nation during the Second World War.

The Award is dedicated to the celebration and acknowledgement of Manitobans who have volunteered their time, energy and expertise to enhance our Ukrainian Canadian community in Manitoba ensuring it remains strong, vibrant and active for future generations.
