Due to the outpouring of support from our great Manitoba community, we have decided to pause the registration of the Manitobans willing to host displaced Ukrainians.

Thus far, we have received over 700 responses from Manitobans who have expressed their interest to provide shelter for Ukrainians. This result is beyond any imagination and expectation! What a great community we have in Manitoba, the province that has proved time and again to be worth its name – Friendly Manitoba!

As it is unknown yet how many Ukrainian families are going to come to Manitoba, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress – Manitoba Provincial Council will be monitoring the situation and working with select potential hosts.

As Russia continues its war destroying Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure, we urge you to consider donating to one of the humanitarian initiatives organized by the registered Canadian charities (you will get a tax receipt):

• Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal by the Canadian Red Cross
