The Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the UCC Charitable & Education Trust are seeking applications for the position of a part-time bookkeeper, based in our Winnipeg office.

The Bookkeeper reports to the Executive Director and works with the Treasurers of both organizations.

Workload should entail 8-10 hours a week on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Recording of financial information and monthly reconciliations
  • Preparation of GST filing
  • Receipting donations from all sources, reconciling to deposits, updating required reports
  • Administering the employee benefits plan
  • Preparation of monthly internal reports
  • Assist external accountants and auditors in the preparation of year-end financial information for Auditor
  • Review and calculation of employee payroll, T4 and T4 summary forms

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years experience working with a charitable and or non-profit organization
  • Payroll systems management experience

Remuneration

Contract for services, remunerated at $35-$45 hourly based on a 8-10 hours a week workload on a part-time basis.
